Climbing Ladders Early Learning and Montessori Centre is owned and led by director Ruwanie Pathinather, who brings over 30 years of experience in early childhood education.
Ruwanie began her teaching career at 16 in Sri Lanka, where she trained in the Montessori Method and opened her own Montessori school serving 160 children daily. Her passion for child-led education and hands-on learning shaped her approach from the very beginning.
After moving to Australia, she spent years in leadership roles at early learning centres across Sydney, gaining deep understanding of Australian education standards and what families in our local communities truly need. This experience inspired her to open Climbing Ladders, bringing authentic Montessori education to families in North Kellyville, Stanhope Gardens, and Rouse Hill.
Ruwanie is passionate about creating an environment where children can explore, investigate, and learn at their own pace. She believes every child deserves opportunities to thrive with the support of caring, experienced educators who genuinely love what they do.

We use natural materials, outdoor play spaces, and child-led activities that encourage independence and problem-solving. Our Montessori programs follow the Early Years Learning Framework while staying true to Montessori principles, giving children the best of both approaches.
