Climbing Ladders is a locally owned Montessori childcare and daycare provider with three centres in North Kellyville, Rouse Hill, Stanhope Gardens. We provide early education for children from 6 weeks to 6 years, with programs tailored to each age group’s needs.
Our Montessori childcare approach creates hands-on learning experiences that make early education fun and engaging. By combining Montessori methods with the Early Years Learning Framework, we support each child’s natural curiosity, independence and unique abilities across all three locations.
Through strong, trusting relationships with families, children in our North Kellyville, Rouse Hill and Stanhope Gardens childcare centres explore and learn at their own pace. As a result, they develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning that prepares them to climb the ladders of life with joy and self‑assurance.
Montessori learning encourages children to take part and show a keen interest in their education. As a result, it helps them develop lifelong skills from critical thinking to problem-solving and self-motivation.
This method of education includes several core principles:
- Child-Centred Learning: Teachers act as guides, providing support and resources. This allows children to explore subjects that interest them.
- Prepared Environment: Materials are easy to reach, organised, and scaled to a child’s size. This setup promotes independence and freedom within limits.

From 5 January 2026, CCS-eligible families are guaranteed at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. Climbing Ladders proudly offers the 3 Day Guarantee at all our North Kellyville, Stanhope Gardens and Rouse Hill centres.

The Explorers program provides a safe, calm space for babies. We focus on sensory play, tummy time, and gentle interactions that support early development. Each baby follows their own feeding, sleeping, and play routine.
Toddlers in our Climbers program explore with growing confidence. Through movement, music, and hands-on play, we support their physical skills, language development, and growing independence.
Children in the Investigators program develop problem-solving skills and friendships. This happens through play, creative activities, and small group experiences. We introduce early Montessori materials and let curiosity guide their learning.
The Discoverers program encourages children to ask questions and explore answers. We focus on creativity and thinking skills through Montessori activities. These develop concentration, coordination, and early reading and counting.
In the Inventors program, children work on Montessori activities and group projects. We build their understanding of the world while helping them become more independent and self-directed learners.
The Pioneers kindergarten program prepares children for primary school. We focus on reading, writing, counting, independence, and social skills in a supportive environment. As a result, your child starts school feeling confident and ready.

Early literacy skills give children a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Children who develop these skills before school have an advantage that carries them throughout their education.
Reading Ladders is our structured literacy program comprising 12 progressive books that focus on concepts of print, phonics, blending, sight words, spelling, comprehension and listening skills. Your child will develop confident reading abilities through engaging lessons delivered by qualified teachers who specialize in early childhood literacy development, building letter recognition, phonemic awareness, early reading fluency and a genuine love of books.
Physical activity teaches young children movement skills that enhance their quality of life and overall development. Active Ladders is our physical education program aligned with Munch & Move guidelines from NSW Health, which promotes healthy development for children birth to 5 years.
Through structured play and movement activities, your child will develop vital gross motor skills including balancing, running, jumping, catching, hopping, throwing, galloping, skipping, leaping and kicking. These foundational movement experiences build physical confidence, coordination, healthy habits and active play skills that last a lifetime.
Positive mental health in early childhood is essential for children’s wellbeing and development now (being) and has important implications for their future (becoming). Children who receive mental health support in early childhood develop a strong foundation for the skills, values and behaviors they need to experience positive physical and mental health as adults.
Through our Wellbeing Ladders program, children engage in activities that nurture holistic development of mind, body and soul. Daily practices include gentle stretches, children’s yoga, mindfulness activities, music and movement, and quiet reflection time. These nurturing experiences help children develop emotional intelligence, stress management strategies, self-regulation abilities and mindfulness skills they’ll carry throughout their lives.

Our purpose-built natural play spaces feature sand, rocks, tree stumps, garden mulch and water. Children participate in gardening, nature walks, seasonal observations and hands-on environmental projects. Through these authentic experiences, children develop environmental awareness, sensory skills, connection to nature and sustainability values that foster lifelong stewardship.
